Akamas Peninsula

The Akamas peninsula , north-south of Pafos is a unique, relatively large, unttouched area with important charachteristics of the flora, the fauna and the geologie, with beautiful landscapes and coasts, rich in history and tradition.

If you didn't visit Akamas peninsula lately , you don't know what you are missing!

The place is a beautiful garden with all sorts of wild flowers growing eveywhere. Especially the area around Lara bay is amazing.

Yoy will need of course a four wheel drive car . Try the route from Neo Chorio , through Smigies picnick site. There is a nature trail there suitable also for disabled persons.

The road will take you to high hills with spectacular views of the coastal areas , through maquis forests and fields covered with flowers. The flora of the area is especially interesting with a large number of endemic flowers growing here .

The road is sign posted and you can either head for Ayios Georgios in Pegeia or for Ineia and Kathikas villages . No matter which route you follow you will be amazed!
