Paphos Wine Routes

In Cyprus, wine production has a very long tradition. So why not follow one of the six wine routes that can be found on the island?

Especially in Pafos area you'll find three interesting wine routes.

Lets start with the first wine route , the Laona -Akamas , an evocative region with ragged coastlines and charming little villages , oazing with culture and lush vines , with rustic and contemporary elements nesting side by side. The route will take you to the western shores of Cyprus and villages such as Drouseia, Ineia, Kathikas, Pano and Kato Arodes.

Here you will discover small wineries that produce excellent wine like the Vasilikon and Sterna wineries in Kathikas , Tsalapatis winery in Polemi an Fikardos winery in Mesogi.

Get to know the Xinisteri , an indiginous grape variety that grows in a climate tempered by the sea breeze, offering white , cool yet solid wines with a fine aroma .You will also be invited to sample the rare Maratheftico , one of the best red wine varieties in Cyprus.
